Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with ShopTrack in just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the essential steps to start managing your marine service business.

By the end of this guide, you'll have your account configured and be ready to create your first work order.
Step 1: Sign Up for ShopTrack
If you haven't already, start by creating your ShopTrack account. Visit the signup page and follow the wizard to set up your organization.

During signup, you'll provide:
- Your contact information - Name and email address
- Company details - Business name, address, and phone number
- Subdomain selection - Choose your unique ShopTrack URL (e.g., yourcompany.shoptrack.it)
- Billing information - Payment method for your subscription
Step 2: Log In to Your Dashboard
After signup, you'll receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your account,
then log in at your custom subdomain (e.g., yourcompany.shoptrack.it).

Once logged in, you'll see your dashboard. This is your command center for managing all aspects of your business.

Step 3: Configure Your Company Profile
Before creating work orders, take a moment to configure your company profile. Navigate to Settings → Company Profile.

Key settings to configure:
- Company Logo - Upload your logo for invoices and documents
- Contact Information - Verify your address, phone, and email
- Business Hours - Set your operating hours
- Default Labor Rate - Set your standard hourly rate
Step 4: Add Your Service Location(s)
Navigate to Settings → Locations to add your service locations. If you operate from multiple sites, add each one here.

Step 5: Set Up Your Services
Go to Settings → Services to define the types of services you offer. This helps categorize work orders and streamline reporting.

Common services for marine shops include:
- Engine Repair & Maintenance
- Hull & Fiberglass Work
- Electrical Systems
- Electronics Installation
- Bottom Painting
- Winterization / Commissioning
- Trailer Service
Step 6: Invite Your Team (Optional)
If you have team members who need access, navigate to Settings → Users to invite them. You can assign different roles based on their responsibilities.

Available roles include:
- Administrator - Full access to all features and settings
- Manager - Access to manage work orders and view reports
- Service Advisor - Create and manage work orders, interact with customers
- Technician - View assigned work, log time, add notes and photos
Step 7: Create Your First Work Order
You're ready to create your first work order! Click the + New Work Order button in the navigation or on the dashboard.

The work order wizard will guide you through:
- Basic Information - Work order type, description, and priority
- Customer Selection - Choose an existing customer or create a new one
- Watercraft/Asset - Select the vessel or equipment being serviced
- Review & Create - Confirm details and create the work order
