Work orders are the heart of ShopTrack. They track every job from initial contact through completion and payment, providing a complete record of services performed for your customers.

What is a Work Order?
A work order in ShopTrack is a complete record of a service job. It includes:
- Customer Information - Who the work is being done for
- Watercraft/Asset Details - What vessel or equipment is being serviced
- Work Description - What services are being performed
- Labor Records - Time spent by technicians
- Parts & Materials - Items used during the service
- Media Attachments - Photos, videos, and documents
- Notes - Internal and customer-facing communications
- Financial Summary - Costs, pricing, and totals

Work Order Types
Work orders can be categorized by type to help with organization and reporting:
- Repair - Fixing something that's broken
- Maintenance - Scheduled preventive maintenance
- Installation - Installing new equipment
- Inspection - Survey or diagnostic work
- Winterization - Seasonal preparation for storage
- Commissioning - Preparing vessel for the season
- Custom - Customization or modification work
