Time Reports

Analyze time tracking data to understand productivity, improve estimates, and optimize your shop's operations.

Accessing Time Reports

Navigate to Reports in the main menu, then select time-related reports:

Available Reports

Technician Hours Report

View hours logged by each technician over a selected time period:

Compare hours across your team. time-reports-technician

This report shows:

  • Total hours per technician
  • Breakdown by work order type
  • Daily/weekly trends
  • Comparison to previous periods

Work Order Time Summary

Analyze time spent per work order:

See total time invested in each job. time-reports-workorder

Useful for:

  • Identifying jobs that took longer than expected
  • Comparing estimated vs actual time
  • Finding patterns in similar job types

Daily Time Log

View detailed daily activity:

Report Filters

All time reports can be filtered by:

  • Date Range - Today, this week, this month, custom range
  • Technician - All or specific team members
  • Work Order Type - Filter by service type
  • Location - If you have multiple locations

Exporting Reports

Export reports for further analysis or record keeping:

  1. Generate the report with your desired filters
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format:
    • PDF - For printing or sharing
    • CSV - For spreadsheet analysis
    • Excel - For detailed analysis

Using Reports to Improve Estimates

Historical time data helps you create more accurate estimates:

Estimation Tip

Before quoting a job, filter time reports by similar work order types. See how long past jobs actually took to create realistic estimates. If impeller replacements typically take 1.5 hours, quote accordingly.
