Adding Watercraft
Add vessels and equipment to your system to track service history and speed up work order creation.
Ways to Add Watercraft
From the Watercraft Page
- Navigate to Watercraft in the main menu
- Click + Add Watercraft
- Select the customer who owns this vessel
- Fill in the watercraft details
- Click Save

From a Customer Profile
- Open the customer's profile
- Click + Add Watercraft
- The customer is automatically selected
- Fill in the vessel details
During Work Order Creation
When creating a work order, you can add a new watercraft inline if it doesn't exist.
Required Information
At minimum, you need:
- Make - Manufacturer (e.g., Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Yamaha)
- Model - Model name
- Owner - Customer who owns the vessel
Recommended Information
For best service tracking, also include:
- Year - Model year
- Hull ID (HIN) - 12-character hull identification number
- Registration Number - State registration
- Vessel Name - If the boat has a name
- Engine Serial Number - For warranty and parts lookup
Tip: Hull ID Location
The Hull Identification Number (HIN) is typically found on the transom (back) of the boat on the starboard (right) side. It's a 12-character code that includes manufacturer info, serial number, and build date.
Adding Engine Information
Document engine details for easier parts lookup and service:

- Engine Make - Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, etc.
- Engine Model - Specific model
- Serial Number - For warranty and parts
- Horsepower - Power rating
- Engine Hours - Current hour meter reading
Multiple Engines
For boats with multiple engines (twins, triples), you can add additional engine records. Each engine can be tracked separately for maintenance purposes.
Uploading Photos
Add photos of the watercraft for easy identification:
- Overall vessel photo
- Hull ID plate
- Engine serial number tag
- Notable features or modifications
